I Was Down To F.I.N.A, Trying To Get Lighting Vortex Out Of My Deck, Because, He Has Monsters On The Field That Prevented Me To Attack. Once I Draw It, I'll Discard A Monster & Attack For Game, Since It Gets Rid Of All Face-Up Monsters On The Opponent's Field. But Nope! I Couldn't Draw It & I Lose By The Destiny Board's Winning Conditions For The First Time In My Life.

I remember this duel, when I saw it for the first time it was painful... now it's even more painful to watch.

Yugioh operates BELOW playground rules so we kept seeing people using -1700 vanilla monsters and braindead strategies (even more braindead than beatdown). By battle city, characters had access to makyura, jinzo, power spells, witch, mystic tomato, sangan, etc. all cards set to three/unlimited, etc. but everyone lives below the poverty line (except kaiba, he's actually just stunted) and can't afford a basic deck with wincons even though the world literally revolves around the card game. Would it be boring to watch? Maybe. But even playground strategies had more though put behind them than what we see depicted in these duels.

Imagine if Bakura still ran just desserts, i believe its cause backrow that burns your opponent are illegal in battle city but if bakura ran it and activated it when Dark Marik did the point to point transfer he would of won. That said as much as i love battle city the finals just says screw logic lets use these single monster cards to try and win. Mai vs marik is a prime example. She had 3 monsters and marik had none so the 3 cyber harpies would have been more than enough to wipe out the last of his lifepoints. Also can we agree that sphere mode is just BS plot convenience that rarely showed up despite being the default state? Why did sphere mode come up when mai summoned ra and not Bakura

If i had a nickel for each time marik got his butt saved in a duel by plot armor, id have 2 nickels... which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

Love to see you do Yugi vs Bakura during the final arc. Its a wicked duel and always cool to see yugi not Atem duel

This has to be one of the worst duels I've seen in any Yu-Gi-Oh series. I know many duels in each series has it's crazy/shenanigan moments. But this is a villian vs. villain match and the amount of misplays that each player has was absurd. There was no plot significant nor any tricks that was interrupted or involved in the duel. It was an fair duel and yet, there was so much miss potential. Are you sure these guys are evil?

Actually, Marik and Bakura have the same problem : Their duels are not decided by "Who play the best" but by "Who play the less bad"

First thing I thought was even if he can´t win with it Destiny Board it still removes at least 1 brick from his deck. Second draw of the game Bakura immediately bricks... One of my all time favorite duels in Yu-Gi-Oh. I love it so much no because the gameplay because it was wacky. It was terrible. This are the supposedly top 10 duelist in the world and yet they both played like amateurs, but the storyline and plot and drama of this duel is great. I like the subtle differences between the duel disks For example jadens is the most compact, made to fit into a backback easily, while Yusei's has no moving parts because they are driving with it at 300 something miles per hour and yugi has the classic duel disc which has the wings that fold into the play area

In defence of Bakura sacrificing Ra, based on what he knows. Summoning Ra with Monster Reborn would only get you a 0/0 Monster for a single turn. Both a waste of a card and leaving himself open for attack

Another bullshit thing in this duel is that as we see later when Mai also takes Ra from Marick, Ra is initially an orb that requires a chant to be read in order to switch to his non-sphere form. Why did it not happen with Bakura? Or is it that because Bakura can read ancient Egyptian, they decided to just bypass that part?
